Water Safety and Legionella Risk Management
Water Safety Plan
Our team partners with you to develop and implement a facility Water Safety Plan that complies with ASHRAE 188 Legionellosis: Risk Management for Building Water Systems. We review your water systems in depth and perform a tailored Legionella risk assessment. The next steps are to determine control measures – what to control and where – and then define a monitoring program and corrective actions to ensure effective risk management. We help you to implement the Water Safety Plan and provide ongoing support, including validation, data management and auditing.
Sampling & Analysis
Sampling for Legionella is one method to show that risk management is effective. We make sure that the number, location, and frequency of samples are appropriate for your facility. A trained representative collects samples and sends them for analysis at an accredited laboratory. We interpret the results with you and discuss corrective actions if required. Depending on where you are located, sampling may be a regulatory requirement.
The AquaAnalytics system stores and organizes information related to Legionella risk management, including analytical results and a record of compliance with your Water Safety Plan. The system gives you peace of mind that things are under control and that your data is backed up and always available.
Decontamination Kit & Secondary Disinfection
Building water systems may require decontamination for various reasons including cooling tower start-up, biological fouling, or response to positive Legionella test results. We provide a decontamination kit and secondary disinfection technologies to address such situations. One of our representatives will be happy to provide you with more information about the DK-12000 decontamination kit, options for secondary disinfection, and how this may be included as part of your Water Safety Plan.
